The historic Christmas market at Hamburg City Hall is Hamburg's largest Christmas market, attracting several million visitors a year. In addition to numerous culinary winter highlights, traders and artisans, among others, line up here, creating a cosy overall ensemble. Almost like a small winter village, the market is divided into several themed lanes and thus has something to offer every visitor.
Thanks to its central location in Hamburg's city centre, the market is easy to reach. Several public transport lines stop directly at Hamburg's Rathausmarkt. It's also not far from TORTUE HAMBURG: you can reach the Christmas market at Hamburg Town Hall on foot in less than 10 minutes.
CHRISTMAS MARKET AT GERHART-HAUPTMANN-PLATZ

The Christmas market at Gerhart-Hauptmann-Platz is located in the middle of Hamburg's city centre. Between Mönckebergstaße and the Alster lake, the cosy stalls are lined up under dense fir trees, which, coupled with the heaped-up forest floor, conjure up an atmospheric winter wonderland in the middle of Hamburg. The Christmas market is very popular with both natives and tourists.
The perfect connection to the city centre and the shops next door make this Christmas market an excellent stopover during the annual Christmas errands.
SANTA PAULI
13th of November - 23rd of December
Dubbed "Hamburg's hottest Christmas market", Santa Pauli combines the best of Christmas and the district life of St. Pauli. Colourful stalls, live music and cheerful tents characterise the somewhat different Christmas market on Spielbudenplatz on the Reeperbahn. Of course, there is also delicious mulled wine and culinary highlights here.
GÄNSEMARKT CHRISTMAS MARKET

The stalls of the Christmas market at Gänsemarkt are located directly around the Lessing monument. This Christmas market is also ideally located in the city centre and is the perfect starting point for a winter walk around the Alster. Over mulled wine and gingerbread, you can marvel at artisans and other exciting exhibitors at the Gänsemarkt.
HAFENCITY CHRISTMAS MARKET
20th of November - 30th of December
The modern Hafencity also offers a fantastic Christmas market: cosily lit huts stand on Überseeboulevard and exude a Christmassy atmosphere. The Christmas market has an exclusive winter lounge and plenty of attractions for the whole family.
